BLOG 1

Write what experience you previously have had with Infrastructure and networks. And what personal ambitions you have in the area.

My experience with network and infrastructure doesn't cover much beyond what I have learned in class of CSA502, NET602, NET601

I have experience  in basic general knowledge about setting up machine, installing programs, setting up connection between two machines and have experience with virtual machines I am not sure about career that I would be pursing. On other hand, what I will learn will be useful to me in future. I will try my best to grab much knowledge and to work on it in future.

Subnetting:

It was my first time working on subnetting. Lars made me Understand that  subnetting demonstrate that it can communicate in binary and convert it to a decimal form and we did some examples on it. Which was numbers with lots of decimal points. The starting was good I understand some concepts but has it got extend it started going worst.

He thought as with an example which was :

An IPv4 binary address with a 24 bit subnet mask has the following fundamental structure:
nnnnnnnn.nnnnnnnn.nnnnnnnn.hhhhhhhh
The n denotes the network portion of the address.
The h is the portion of the address that refers to the host.
The subnet portion of the address is denoted by the letter s.

and then  some homework was given.

AGAIN Subnetting:

Second lecture was again on subnetting which went little bouncer to me because it straight away went to IPv4 and IPv6 and we learned about OSI MODEL and top-down model.

According to lars teaching I understood what is OSI Model and how it works:

The Open Systems Interconnection Model (OSI Model) is a conceptual framework for describing the operations of a networking system. In order to promote interoperability across diverse devices and applications, the OSI model defines computer functions into a common set of rules and criteria. A computing system's communications are divided into seven abstraction layers:

Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, and Application

TOP-DOWN network design :is a step-by-step guide to creating corporate networks that are dependable, secure, and controllable.

BLOG 4:

LARS explain the assignment 2 and divided the groups. We did some presentation weekly each group, day by day and he introduce us about talos and how to login and how it works (not in detail) and then showed has the ubiquiti Unifi box and explain about it. Then we started our group work which was to setup pfsense. I have an experience on virtual machine but talos was slight different and our group try to setup and we didnt got it and it was done by lars.

BLOG 5:

It was test day. I learned hard to crack subnetting number, watch youtube videos and learn some sited to learn it again.

BLOG 6:

Back from holidays. We continue work on assignment because we couldn't understand what we are doing so we asked lars to explain and he makes an diagram which made more confusion. Didn't learn anything during that week.

BLOG7:

LARS left nmit and we got stuck in our assignment because there no was no resources on it and no to  explain further, I mean there was no one to explain. We divided our work into session wise.

BLOG 8:

Are group struggle a lot ,none of us was able to do anything. We just made a report anyhow but I would say it was pretty decent. Everything was in front of eyes but don't how to move, connecting the pfsense, virtual machines through open vpn, I found some videos on it but we were still struggling, to make our work confirmation I have drawn many times the diagram try to explain but still we couldn't connect because we didn't got much resources on it.

WORKSHOPS:

CISCO:

I have heard of it and after doing some research I came to know that is American based firm that creates, produces, and distributes networking gear, software, telecommunications equipment, and other high-tech services and goods. CISCO certification are useful if we want to enter network field.

The goal for this workshops was to search jobs for on trade. I just got 12 results.

IPv6

I didn't do anything related to it.
